A low-end version of the iPhone is not to be confused with the next version of the standard model, which is expected to launch sometime this fall. A Wall Street Journal report Wednesday, citing unnamed sources, said the next standard iPhone would sport a thinner body than the iPhone 4, along with a more powerful camera.It may also carry the chip technology necessary to operate on various types of wireless networks, making it what some analysts have dubbed a “world iPhone.” Currently, Apple makes different versions of the device for CDMA-based networks and for carriers using the GSM standard.
